Villa Immacolatella
Wedding
Introduction & Objective
Gabrielle, of Italian heritage but born in New York, and Kyle, also a New Yorker, chose Sicily as the setting for their wedding, drawn by the authentic and unspoiled charm of this land. Their wish was to return to their roots, while offering their international guests a deeply immersive and identity-rich experience.
Their choice fell on a historic estate in the plain at the foot of Mount Erice, a countryside residence owned by the same noble family since the 1800s: an ancient baglio that also houses, just outside its walls, a small 17th-century chapel.
The project objective was clear: to welcome friends and family traveling from abroad into a single location, capable of hosting them throughout the entire day — from the ceremony to the celebration — creating a coherent, fluid, and memorable narrative.
Design & Execution
The design was developed around the idea of an experiential journey, conceived to gradually reveal the venue and highlight each of its facets. The ceremony took place in front of the 17th-century chapel, in an intimate and solemn setting where architecture and landscape naturally interacted.
Afterwards, guests were guided into the garden for the aperitif, the first moment of conviviality, before entering the heart of the baglio: the cloister. Here, four long imperial tables hosted the dinner, transforming the space into an elegant yet lived-in environment, which later opened seamlessly into the dancing area without losing aesthetic coherence.
The color palette — built around shades of magenta, cappuccino, and dusty rose — was expressed through deconstructed floral arrangements, golden candelabras, and layered candle heights, in a carefully studied balance designed to enhance the materiality and history of the venue without overpowering it.
Outcome & Satisfaction
The result was an event with a warm and enveloping atmosphere, where each moment naturally flowed into a continuous story. The finale, set in the outer garden, brought everyone back to the purest essence of Sicily: between two centuries-old olive trees, the cake cutting sealed the day in a romantic, timeless setting.
Gabrielle and Kyle experienced their wedding as a shared journey, fully recognizing themselves in a project capable of interpreting their desires and welcoming their guests in an authentic and refined way. An event that successfully united design vision, respect for the location, and aesthetic sensitivity — delivering an intense, coherent, and deeply personal experience.
